Throw ten mandibular incisors in a box and how many can you identify as #23, 24, 25, or 26? You did it in dental school and most likely you’ll never need to do it ever again, but it’s still not that bad to know. Read below for differences between left and right.
- Right and left central incisors are largely indistinguishable.
- Lateral incisors have a cingulum placed to the distal, a crown that tips more to the distal, and a distolingual twist of the incisal edge. (The image shows #26 from the facial aspect.)
